ELRIC MELNIBONE WALLPAPER
This is THE classic sword and sorcery tale that came about in the early s. After they drive the enemy away Elric only wishes to go back, but Yrkoon angers him by suggesting he is a coward. I can’t find it anywhere. Moorcock is not interested in making a parody, but in exploring a little-trodden path, operating on the notion that if you start with something familiar and begin to move away from it, you are bound to end up somewhere else. This is a tale of monstrous emotions and high ambitions.

The Elric Saga by Michael Moorcock

My List of Suggested Fantasy Books I enjoyed it, quite a bit actually, but I am unsure if I possess the desire to move on in the story. This is the first book of a classic fantasy series with an iconic anti-hero.
This is some epic awesomeness. It isn’t that they aren’t vivid and active, but that their actions are often based around ideas and concepts–the things Moorcock built his world on–which can create a sense of a top-down world, where the characters are there to fulfill a purpose, to explore various notions and philosophies. The final rating is 4 very solid stars. Pero el todo no me ha llegado al favoritismo.
I was surprised how fresh it felt, considering that Elric was born somewhere between years and Elric is the sickly descendant of a haughty alien race, a long line of amoral conquerors and wielders of magic.

I’m an absolute sucker for the grand sweeping personal quests to gain more and yet more magical power in the service of rescuing your one true love, casting aside morals, the greater good, your own health, and possibly your own sanity. You have to be a VERY good author to make such a hero compelling to the readers. You know, the ‘demon’ bit? Alas they are not good counter-examples.
Elric of Melniboné
Ohhhh also, my version of this book isn’t the one in the picture here. I love me elriic bricks but it was a nice, breezy experience Elric, of course, is the ultimate Nietzsche Super-Man, fully beyond good and evil, but he, like all super-villains, considers himself the ekric hero of his story, and I have to agree with him. He’d been a little charey of what I’d think of it and I thought it was tremendous.
The Albino in America by Michael Moorcock. From what I understand the author tried to create something different from The Lord of the Rings ; at the time this book was published the majority of fantasy genre melnigone of The Lord of the Rings clones. Is this book still in print?
